Today's word is "드립" [drip, drib].

At the beginning, Hyelin said "I've heard there are 28,000 fans."
and funny situations went on.
To explain this, we have to know what original title means.
The original title is
"EXID의 극한 드립 대잔치 [팬사인회에초대합니다]".
And translating literally, it would be
"EXID's ultimate 드립 (drip) festival [We invite you to fansign]".
Now it's the time to tell you what the '드립' means.
It's originally from a English word 'ad lib'.
Definition of 'ad lib' is
"ad-lib (verb)
:to do something without preparation or planning"
(Cambridge Dictionary)
The meaning of 'ad lib' has been added and changed a little bit in Korean, from '애드립' to '드립'. And '드립' means that saying something without thinking or saying something weird out of nowhere, mostly fun intended.
This word is used like '드립 치다'.
When you watched the video, there was a lot of absurd and funny conversation, right? Because it's 드립 festa!

[MEMES] Why do EXID cover their mouths and say "This is the 1st time." with funny accent?

Today I'm going to talk about what EXID do many times.
When you watch V live, they often cover the mouths with their hands
and tell "I don't know." and "This is the 1st time to show this." with funny accent, right?
The accent feels like Hip-hop or someth, I dunno.
OK. Let's find out.

In the 2nd time, they actually do the same move and accent except Junghwa.
So where did this meme come from?

His name is Go Janghwan who is a comedian and a member of Hip-hop group 'Namola Family'. At first he and other two comedians had performed a comedy stage with funny rapping at the comedy show. After they performed for a while, they actually released some R&B Hip-hop tunes and their songs were good, got famous.
I think the group was not that active for a while. However one day, Janghwan's Instagram feed gone viral. Big time.
So EXID tend to mimic his move sometimes.

However, there's a saying "The student has become the master."
It turned out to be true!

[MEMES] Hani panicked! Why does she do that?
When Hani panic, she does something and keep saying 'cut'.

"Forget what just happened. Let's cut it out. Adidas. Cut it out."
Did she say "Adidas"? Yes. The Adidas we all know, the fashion brand.
She did it again on this video.

Hani made funny face and was embarrassed.
So she said something like this.
"Cut, cut. Adidas. Nike."
Yes, she said the names of famous brands.
Why does she do that?
[Explanation]
In Korea, there's a broadcast regulation that you can't say names of brands on official TV and radio shows. So if you want to imply something, you have to say it indirectly.
For example, if you want to imply iPhone from Apple, you say "사과 (Sagwa, that's 'apple' for Korean.) phone".
Or you can skip some letters like this.

Park Narae (Comedian) lost her iPad so she went back to the restaurant she ate at. And she called Hani and asked "Did one of us take my iPad?" but on the screen, it's written as "아이ㅇㅇ".
[Conclusion]
Now you know the regulation about the brands name.
Then why does Hani say that even though she knew the rule?
Because if you say that on the show, PD has to cut that part out.
So when some entertainers make a mistake or don't like the situation, they intentionally say the brands name, or even swear words, mostly fun intended.
However, this rule is NOT applied on Internet show.
So at MADE IN EXID video, PD answered to Hani's reaction.
"Since this is Internet show, it's no use. :-)"

[SLANG] 빼박캔트? What is that?
Our lovely Hyelin said some slang on the radio show.
Let's learn what it means.
11th April, 2018
Lee Hong Ki's Kiss the Radio.
[Backgrounds]
LE and Lee Hongki once met and drank together with friends and Jeong Hyeongdon (Comedian, former Weekly Idol MC) heard about this from Hongki. Hongki said to Hyeongdon that he was late for the drinking, so LE made him drink 3 shots at once and he was scared a bit. And Hyeondon told that on Weekly Idol when EXID showed up. So if you search LE on the internet, Hongki's name comes up with LE.
[04:53~ ]
(A listener asked about the incident.)
DJ: LE!
LE: Yes. (laughing altogether)
DJ: I watched the Weekly Idol. Even Hyeongdon called me. Please reveal the truth. Did I tell a lie?
(All laughing)
LE: I think Hyeondon exaggerated a little.
DJ: You know I watched that show, right? (LOL) I watched it without even blinking because my name was mentioned.
Hyelin: 빼박캔트네요.
Junghwa: Let's talk about it honestly.

"빼박" is from an abbreviation of "빼도 박도 못하다"
and "캔트" is "can't".
"빼도 박도 못하다" originally means
when you hit a nail on wood or something,
you couldn't hit it into wood or pull out since it's stuck.
So that phrase is used when you can't do anything or you face the truth you can't deny.
It's used as "빼박캔트네요" or "빼박이네요".
And you gotta know it's a slang!
